Arthur Levertov is a professional chess player and friend of Benny and Cleo. He makes his first appearance in the fifth episode of the series, Openings, whit Wexler and the model when the three of them go to visit Benny's apartment and met for the first time Beth, who was staying there for preparing herself before the Paris Tournament, supervised by Benny. There the five of them organize a little party where Beth challenges Benny, Hilton and him simultaneous at speed chess and repeatedly she defeats all of them. By Cleo's story, Arthur and Wexler dissuaded her from committing suicide, some years prior, and this is how they met for the first time.
Arthur and Wexler appear again, in the last episode End Game, in Benny's apartment, where, with all Beth's friend they formed the squad that helped her during the final match with Borgov. In the end, we see them celebrate her victory with the others.
